Spark Comic #31 - Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Here's today's Spark Comic, introducing a new character, Yules Catanova; another character based on my friends as first depicted in Spark Comic #21.

You'll notice this comic has a bit of subtle humor; from the Dragonball reference to the creative spin on a Skyrim meme. The Skyrim meme is especially fitting since Cupid does shoot those arrows in questionable places. I've yet to actually play Skyrim though. I want to, but I'm too worried about my knees getting arrows in them.

Despite my demeanor in the comic, I'm not actually that resentful towards Valentine's Day. I think it's corporate bullcrap, but I'm not the type to actively rage about it. I will straight out admit though that I've never had a girlfriend at this time of writing. Sure, I'd love to find a wonderful woman to love, but I'm not mindlessly aggressive about getting one like it's a new consumer item or something, like some people. I'm willing to wait until the right bus arrives. I do try sometimes, but I also believe things will eventually happen in due time. After all, I hated Public School and I waited and waited until University and now that I'm here, I'm having the time of my life. Quite frankly, I want to enjoy my University days while I have them. Sure, I'd love a girlfriend, but I'm the happiest I've ever been right now and if that's all life is willing to deal me at the moment, then I'm okay with that. I hope you all have a special someone, be it your girlfriend/boyfriend, sister/brother, mother/father, aunt/uncle that you can spend time with today and tell them how much you love them.

That being said, I'm going to hate the romantic Valentine's Day atmosphere being single...

It occurred to me before uploading this that some people might think this comic means I resent my friends for being in a relationship and I want to dispel that. My friends, who I based Lex and Yules on, are some of my best friends. They're awesome and I'd never mean ill will with a comic like this. ^_^

Besides I don't venture out to find the Dragon Balls with/for just anyone...
